Common Darter Dragonfly
The Large Bee-fly, Bombylius major, is a bee mimic. A strange looking insect looking more like a bee than a fly. With a furry body and patterned wings, and a long proboscis used for drinking nectar and unlike a bee the fly is totally harmless.
The Colour Popped image was created to capture a minimalistic image of summer and the feeling of picnics on the grass.
I wanted to capture a side profile portrait shot of the swan (as most photos capture them swimming). I wanted to give the illusion the swan was posing for the shot and giving us a cheeky wink
When we see blossom on trees we know that summer will soon be on it's way!
